The World is worth $1.8 billion!

Located off the coast of Dubai, The World is a collection of man-made islands shaped into the continents of the world.

This mega project consists of 300 artificial islands, each one of them will be sold separately to selected private developers and are expected to sell for a price starting at no less than 7 million dollars US.

Fueled by the engineering expertise and imagination of Dubai’s premier development company, Nakheel Inc, this 1.8 billion mega project rises from the sea with unbelievable velocity and momentum: 94 percent of the islands are reclaimed from the sea already, waiting for further development.

On May 2, 2007, Nakheel announced that it started developing its first island on The World, Coral Island, a super-luxury resort on the “North coast of Canada.” That first island will take approximately three years to complete with a target date for residents to move in of 2010.
