The problem…
The real UFO phenomenon is not about a couple of mystical lights floating around in the nightly skies, although the media, the authorities, and a growing number of “UFO cowards” want you to believe that this is exactly what that “crazy” UFO buzz is all about …

So what’s the Real UFO Phenomenon?
Before I show you what the real UFO phenomenon is all about - and where to look for to find the truth - please allow me to ventilate my anger about a media phenomenon that has been going on for decades: the (un)intentional UFO disinformation campaign.

Real UFOS debunked by UFO cowards…
I already touched the subject in my “How to Debunk UFOs“-post. Real UFO sightings are debunked by people who refuse to study the facts about UFOs (in their own mind, they believe that it doesn’t make any sense to study a phenomenon that doesn’t exist). In my opinion, they are just cowards who are afraid to know the facts!

Why disinformation always works!
A disinformation campaign disproves anything. It is a slight variation on UFO Debunking Method number 8. It is a magical trick designed to make “anyone” believe that even the best UFO cases can be explained (which is not the case)…

To make the trick work, one needs 4 ingredients…

• a perfectly explainable, but “spectacular” UFO case, …
• spectacular UFO “evidence”, …
• some time to fuel the “extraterrestrial speculation”, …
• the final “earthly explanation” revealing how wrong everybody was…

Ingredient 1: Spectacular UFO case…

On the evening of August 11, 2000, a Sussex police helicopter crew flying above Brighton spotted a cylindrical UFO next to their aircraft… They were so stunned by the object that they decided to engage their on board thermal imaging camera system. They chased and filmed the mystery object for three minutes before returning to their base.


Ingredient 2: Spectacular UFO evidence…

This video has been released by the authorities (without them saying what the object was, although they knew exactly what it was)…




Ingredient 3: Time for speculation…

At that time, the media already knew what the object was. But instead of revealing what the object was, the media started to speculate about the extraterrestrial hypothesis (the only purpose of that speculation was to discredit that hypothesis in a later stadium, a very predictable “Look how smart we are - We solved the mystery - Of course UFOs don’t exist” kind of story).

From the “respected” British Broadcast Corporation (BBC)…

The images captured over the south coast were filmed by a police helicopter. The UFO was spotted travelling across the coast and was followed for about 10 miles.

None of the crew members on board the helicopter had seen anything like it before or since.

The footage has aroused the interest of UFO enthusiasts. So what could it be? Well, some people think it could be a balloon or some other simple explanation…

Ingredient 4: The “earthly” explanation…

Chinese lanterns (khom loy / sky lantern) utilise the power of fire and hot air to levitate a paper bag into the nightly skies. These hot air balloons produce a spectacular view and they last up to 30 minutes. If you watch that helicopter footage again, you will clearly see that the object is a Chinese lantern, and that the object’s speed is an optical illusion caused by the speed of the circling helicopter.




Ok, enough of that. Much to do about nothing…

But here’s something you probably have never heard of… (it is something many scientists do know but refuse to talk about…)
