Giant African Snail
Giant African Land Snails are fascinating pets. They require litlle or no attention, eat all kinds of fruits and vegetables, and are very easy to keep.

The Giant African Land Snail (GALS) - also known as Agate Snail or Ghana Tiger Snail - is the largest land snail on Earth. Honestly, those creatures are freaking huge… They weigh up to 2 pounds (900g) and easily attain a length of 15.5 inches (39cm) from head to tail.

    Joe,

    I remember reading somewhere that it is legal to keep GALS in the UK (ask any specialty shop and they’ll know).

    But it’s a different story in the USA. There, they are illegal, and you can expect a large fine if you are caught keeping them.

    now THAT is what I call some serious escargot! mmmm, wonder how much 8 of those, with some huge ass mushroom tops, baked in garlic butter with melted parm on top would cost in a restaurant.
